With the vision, 'RourKela - A paradise for adventure enthusiasts of Odisha', RourKela Trekkers Club is on a mission to develop R.S.Colony as the first adventure village of Odisha where all children and youth from age 6 to 26 years are not just professionally trained into one adventure sport of their choice but are also trained into soft skills of rural tourism and adventure tourism to create an alternate source of living around their village or get into various job opportunities in adventure sector around the world .

The project is headed by Mountaineer & Trainer Ashok Vardhan Mishra who is locally supported by the Bondamunda Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Ms. Anita Tirkey and other farmers of the villager
